Jewellery Trends at Paris Fashion Week

Sadly, another week of Couture Fashion has ended, this time in Paris. We have seen so many jewellery trends come and go on the runways, but here are a few styles that stuck with us this year:

Louis Vuitton Spring 2016

Luxury Punk

At the Louis Vuitton Spring 2016 ready-to-wear runway show, the theme was Luxury Biker and the look was very chic. Complete with leather hand grips, it seems they thought of everything to create an edgy punk-like style. What we lack in leather and lace at Studio1098, we make up for in sparkle! A few of our earrings that complement this fierce trend are our Black Druzy Quartz Studs, Black Dangle Gems, and Teardrop Banded Agate Dangles:

Stella McCartney Spring 2016

Statement Pearls

Like many of her past collections, Stella McCartney decided to add bold statement jewellery to her looks… and this year it was a more sculptural take on pearls, showing a large wrapped double strand necklace. This classic trend is perfect for Fall!

This ongoing trend appeared on the runway in New York, and proved to be quite popular in Paris as well. Both Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen showed long earring at their shows in Paris this week. Similar to the Balenciaga runway show, our 18K yellow gold diamond and crystal chandelier earrings are the perfect accessory to re-create the bold and feminine dangle look.

On the 6th day of Paris Fashion Week, known Polish fashion model Magdalena Frackowiak debut her new 26-piece fine jewellery collection in yellow and white gold. Being in the industry for 15 years, Magdalena was surrounded by art and creativity. All the pieces were handcrafted in her hometown in Poland. “Luxury nowadays is to have pieces that are handmade,” said Magdalena, and we certainly agree with that! Here are some of our favourite handmade gold pieces that complement this trend:
