Tumbled Garnet Beads with 18K Rose and White Gold Clasp

Tumbled Garnet Beads with a 14K Rose and White Gold Clasp

Garnet is both the birthstone for January and the traditional gift for the second year of marriage. The name garnet comes from the Latin garanatus, because the rich, deep colour of the best red garnet is the same as the seeds from a ripe pomegranate.

Tamara was wowed when she saw this strand of tumbled red garnets at the Tucson gem shows. The colour of these garnets is fantastic, and the beads are large and beautifully matched. We mixed in a few smaller garnets beads as well as some 18K rose gold laser-cut beads to add sparkle, and then strung them with a 14K rose gold and white gold clasp.
